Searious Business kondigt tijdens de finish van de Volvo Ocean Race de bouw van ‘s werelds eerste 3D-geprinte én zeewaardige jacht van plastic afval aan. De social enterprise die bedrijven inspireert slimmer om te gaan met plastic, showt het publiek het prototype van twee meter op donderdag 28 juni op het podium van het Zuiderstrandtheater. Het uiteindelijke jacht moet 20 meter lang worden. Doel is om de boot in 2019 mee te laten doen met die Volvo Ocean Race. Tijdens de presentatie roept Searious Business samen met een team van experts uit de maakindustrie en scheepvaart, bedrijven op om mee ‘in zee’ te gaan met de bouw.
